Recently, Me Too movement was a hot issue in South Korea. Before knowing the situations of South Korea, we should know first about the history of Me Too movement. Me Too movement started in the U.S. in 2006 by Tarana Burke, a women social activist, encouraged people to talk about their experience of sexual harassment. It first started by being anonymous. However, it spread widely, and people started to open their identity. Finally, it came to South Korea. Experts say that the Me Too movement has advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, to talk about the advantages, Me Too movement is made for people in social, media who could not talk because of the power of authority and the fear of the damage that will come to them. With this movement, victims can express their experience of sexual harassment and can feel the same way of other people’s stories. In addition, many people such as Emma Watson, Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Chastain, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and other stars are encouraging the Me Too movement. Like this, there are many good points of the Me Too movement, but there are also bad points.

In South Korea, there are many problems of the Me Too movement because of feminism. 

First, there are so many fake reports, and they just disappear when it is concluded that they are fake. Also, it is hard to prove that someone is innocent, but it is easy to write a sentence for a report. Also, feminists push the stars to admit, so there are many people who are pale and are being treated like criminals.

Like this, there is always a problem made if another problem is solved. Therefore, we should quickly make solutions for the problems that are now occurring because of the Me Too movement.
