Poet Ko Un, who has been regulary mentioned in local media, suspected of sexual harassment. A lot of people were shocked because he was a Nobel Prize candidate every moment. Poet Choi Young Mi revealed her experience of being sexually assaulted by Ko-Un. After that, she reaffirmed his allegation by writing a poem, titled Monster.

Ko Un ahd made an offical statement thourgh "Bloodaxe Books". He said that he regrets about being brought up in reent allegation, but the denied about charges of habitual misconduct. He also said that he will continue writing as a poet maintained. Many poeple were disappointed to Ko Un because of his shamelessness about his fault. With this allegation, the Ministry of Education discussed about deleting Ko Un's literary work from school textbooks. Six of the seven textbook publishers that have Ko Un's work decided to cut them after the discussion with the writers.

Also, Suwon-si and Ko Un Foundation decided to withdraw of building Ko Un's liteary house. They said that they believe that the promotion of the construction of Ko Un Museum of LIterature is a very serious issue, and they canceled building it after reflecting the public opinion.

Finally, Poet Ko un will move to another place from Suwon. He has been living in Suwon for the past five years after the government made a house for him to encourage his owrk. He has used this house, as a home and a writing studio. However, after the allegation, residents in the rigion protested last May that it is unfair for the city government to support the poet while they have been financially suffering from the region being designated as an environmental protection area. Also, Local women's rights groups protested against the city government recently to stop its support for the poet, after he was accused of sexually abusing another writer. With his options, Ko Un foundation decided to move Ko Un house to another place. After Ko Un has been pointed out as the culprit, people are paying attention to literary world.
